They planned and started the update about one year ago, and recently I see some of my ranks were lowered considerably, the good thing is that those keywords promoted by content rich links are not affected, some of the keywords even ranked better than before, it’s obvious that link building the old way is the thing of past, probably due to link spamming sites being thrown away by google.
So what exactly is linking campaign the old way? a lot of marketing companies did and are doing the plain link building, they add your links to those linking websites without context, the only updates on those websites are the new links, almost all of them are garbage, we call these sites link spamming sites. The latest google update will definitely downgrade most if not all of these sites, all the links on those websites will have the same fate.
A few real world examples will help to explain what I said. It was quite some time ago, I started promote the keyword, Laser Level, of course with old way of link building, lately I figured that every site in the campaign had way too many links, and the worst thing is that those sites are linking sites only and had no content, not even crap content. This strategy worked in the beginning, finally the rank improved a lot, the party was over when google updated it’s algorithm. After Jamey Rodemeyer, a 14-year-old boy and maker of a viral “It Gets Better” video, took his own life Sunday after years of bullying, many mourned his death by rallying to his cause. Among those springing to action is none other than his role model and idol Lady Gaga. Rodemeyer, a high school freshman in Buffalo, NY, was endlessly taunted by his male peers for being gay.
“Jamey Rodemeyer, 14 yrs old, took his life because of bullying,” Lady Gaga tweeted on Wednesday. “Bullying must become be illegal. It is a hate crime.” Minutes later, she continued her call to action.
“I am meeting with our President,” she tweeted. “I will not stop fighting. This must end. Our generation has the power to end it. Trend it #MakeALawForJamey”
Since then, hundreds have poured out their support through Twitter. President Barack Obama, who has made his own “It Gets Better” video, is attending this year’s second annual Federal Partners in Bullying Prevention Summit this week in Washington D.C. to discuss state and local commitments to preventing bullying. It is unclear if this is where Gaga intends to speak with him. Jamey’s mother, Tracy Rodemeyer said, “For a young kid of 14 and a half, he had a big message, a huge message, that shouldn’t even have to be a message. It should just be common decency to not make people feel worthless and useless on this planet.”
Tracy Rodemeyer told CBS News she will bury her son Saturday in a Lady Gaga t-shirt. It reads “Born This Way.”
